Center Diff Pins

I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction about center diff pins.

I've seen a post or two about them being different color, different strengths for aftermarket ones and what not. I think my transmission is leaking some fluid, just took it into the dealership and they said it was a leaky transfer case seal, so they fixed it, and I just noticed some more fluid the other day onthe bottom of my car.

I still have a year of warranty to go on my 08, so I want to try to get this taken care of before then. Problem is, the Previous Owner had this car up to 500+ WHP, and I don't know if he upgraded the pins or not.

Any evo owners out there get away with upgraded pins under warranty work? (your trans went out even with the pins, and you still got warranty work done)

Any help appreciated.

Thanks!

I know Buschur makes stronger pins. I don't think Mitsu will install them with warranty parts tho unless you throw some cash at the service manager or something.

I'm at 43k miles and have had no problems. I think the 2011+s have upgraded diff pins so maybe they can install those..

Yeah, I know that is one of the companies too, but what is the identifiable parts of the aftermarket pins that will get me denied? The service manager at the dealership i've been going to has been very understanding and has helped me out a lot.
Thanks!

i guess what i need to know is if the dealer will replace my current trans with a new trans under warranty. and if so would it later be denied if they find that my current trans has had upgraded pins done??? just wondering if any one has any input on this. I do not (can not) pay for a trans bill!!!!!!
