Reliability?

I know this is going to be a big maybe question but here it is. I am wanting to build the bottom and top end of my X and get a FP Red or similar turbo. If it is tuned right and everything is installed correct how reliable will it be? I drive light on the pedal most of the time but I do take some trips that are a few hours away from the house quite a few times a year. What would you guys guess would be the mileage you can get out of it? And parts to be used will be say... Manley for the bottom end.

A good setup with the right parts and internals will be just as reliable engine wise as a completely stock motor. Everything else becomes an issue though (tranny, suspension, driveshafts, etc...). It's always a give and take.

Agreed. If you arn't pushing it hard 100% of the time you should be pretty well off. The problem is getting excited with the build and doing many-a hard launches.

I agree with two posts above, just do not abuse/push your car too hard and it would love you forever.
