How big is power difference...

Between single and dual exit exhaust how big is the power difference? From what i read it seems like most companies state their single exits make around 15 whp. I cant seem to find that same consensus for duals. What do duals make on average?

A lot go into that about duals. Such as, type of mufflers used, bends in dual pipes, also diameter to each. But most single are loud. Most.... Duals are more ( should say less noticeable ) to keep sound and attention down. It's personal preference. But power difference won't be much to notice.

ya i figured the duals would be a little quieter in most cases...i just didn't want to sacrifice power going with a dual

Dual also looks 100x better since the rear diffuser was made for it

Your not going to see a difference in flow. Most exhaust systems are 3.0" in the mid pipe and have dual 3.0" or 2.5" outlet which has a larger flow area than a single 3.0" tube. It's going to come down to merge collector on the rear section.

If your mid pipe flows directly into a muffler w/o merge collector it's going to create a bunch of excess turbulence which will hurt flow. Our muffler uses a merge collector which directs flow to both sides evenly.

Plus, you guys make the V2 Quiet, which is über perfection

No difference. You will never notice maybe a small amount of power or weight savings. But you will notice drone and f-14 loud.

I think a dual pipe setup just looks right and proper, especially on a car that means business.

Power difference is minimal.. it's more of a look/sound thing

I initially went with a Buschur SS w/bullet because I wanted a non restrictive dual. I eventually got bored of the sound and look and wanted to try something else. Thesingle exit grew on me the more I saw so I ended up buying a Tomei single exit

Love the sound. Hate the drone though. After about 200 miles, it seems to quiet down a bit (drone) while retaining the deep rumble. Maybe after it's fully covered in soot, it wont drone nearly as much

See, I'm all about the sleeper look and sound... which, honestly, can only be achieved to a certain degree with a damn Evo But I'm all about my ETS V2 quiet dual exhaust. At a red light, you can barely hear me (once the car is warmed up and idle drops). When driving, it has a throaty sound. Under boost, just the right balance of angry yet not rice-y. So far everyone who has heard it really likes it.
