Question Cams

I want to get cams and am trying to plan ahead for them. I use the car as a DD but have plans to track it occasionally in the future. I want the car to stay pretty well streetable but still be a bit aggressive and capable at the track. Aside from the cams i don't really have plans for internals and would like to stick with the stock internals if at all possible. With all that being said, does anyone have recommendations for a reliable, semi-aggressive set? Thanks.

I run gsc s2 cams and gsc springs and retainers on my built x. Im happy with them. Couldnt go wrong with them or the mx1. GSC's are a little cheaper also if that makes any difference. With a stock turbo id probably run the smaller cams, the mx1's.

i have an additional question, sorry if it's a noob one. the cam duration is how long the valves are open and the lift is how far they open, is that correct?

Yep. That would be correct. You can probably find out lots of details on that topic by visiting the Cosworth site and reading up on their cam specs / documentation.

We run GSC S2 in our shop Evolution X. Greg did a great job with these cams. If you need a price let me know!

Thanks Michael. Do you by any chance know the drivability difference between the GSC S1s and the S2s?

And for anyone, is it better to have one in particular over the other of lift and duration? What specifically does each of those do for the performance of the vehicle?
