Bolt-ons advice

Hey guys -

I currently have a stock 2011 Evo X GSR and I think the mod. itch is starting to take over. I'd like to get the following parts and I'm wondering if anyone had any suggestions or advice.
  • ETS intake
  • ETS Quiet V2 exhuast
  • Grimm speed boost controller
  • Cobb AP

I was told that the Grimm speed boost controller would probably be a good idea. Additionally, I thought that having the Cobb AP would be good to have the tune on if I ever wanted to go back to stock.

I'm thinking I'll have the shop do the install and tune for me. I'm hoping between the parts, install, and tune to expect to pay around $2300-2500.

Does this sound reasonable? I'm hoping this would net me around 300whp-315whp. I'm thinking of reaching out to IveyTune for everything. Thanks.

i've got an AEM intake and a GFB bov. unfortunatly i cant tell a difference because they were installed before i bought it. the bov is great though. you can adjust it between full recirculation, and atmospheric as well as adjusting the sound. I'm also going to get a catback and a COBB AP. if you get the cobb ap soon, let me know how
you like it!

Why not add fuel pump, injectors, ef2, hfc, bov, hard pipes, intercooler and a professional tune, labor cost may be cheaper if you do it all at once.

It's a down hill slope once u start to mod it.

Once u tune it warranty is out the window anyways

You should change ETS intake to COBB intake because COBB AP dont support ETS intake for 2011,
Never mind your going to get protune so keep the ets intake

If you get an ETS exhaust get the V2 Quiet version, you'll thank me later (so will your neighbors, girlfriend, etc.).

That goal is obtainable not only without the intake but with-out the boost controller (if on a DynoJet)...so the addition of an aftermarket boost controller will not only help with boost taper but will allow for a faster spool thus increasing power output. However, from what I've seen, the factory boost controller is actually pretty good. Just got a tune today and suprisingly my boost only tapers from 25-19 by 7500rpm....on par with what others are running.

The cost of the parts, labor, and instal seems to be fair...typical CBE usually run around 1k themselves...dyno tunes usually run $3-400.....even a used Cobb still goes for $3-400. I think your getting a deal.

Like above mentioned, you could skip getting the boost controller for now. The stock one doesnt limit it very much if at all until around 24 and above psi if Im not mistaken.

and definitely consider the ETS V2 quiet. I wish I would have went with it every day.

I run the cobb, it works great. Make sure if you get a ECBS you get it professionally installed!! AGP makes a really good CAI and it sounds really good too! You will hear the stock BOV a lot more! Also, any reputable tuner can "crush" your stock BOV and you wont have to change it out. GL with build!!

It feels good compared to what it used to be like. To be honest, I'm already used to the power and I'm kind of bored. I guess that's how it goes though .

It gets better gas mileage as well. I'm starting to get the mod. itch again but I'm going to try and resist it since I know the urge is never going to stop.
