Question which downpipe????

Quick question! Whats the "best" downpipe for a good price?? Ams is a bit to pricey for me! That being said...would a regular dp b fine or should I go with a dp w/o2 housing instead?? What are u guys running? Also I have an UR test pipe (not installed yet) would any dp work with it or would I jus have to get the UR dp as well???
Thanx guys!!!! And sorry for sounding like such a noob!!!!!

Hey I am in the same boat as you except I am done with my search. Like you said the AMS downpipe is a little price. Do go for one with the 02 eliminator since it will free up more of the exhaust and you won't have to do something twice if you were to upgrade down the road. Widemouth is the normal but I have read that the divorced pipes (two separate paths) are better. There are 2 exhaust path going into the widemouth, creating a bit of turbulence and somewhat fighting to get out of the exhaust (imagine getting off an onramp and having to immediatly get into the traffic. While the divorced downpipe has it's own lane and it will allow for it to flow better. I am no expert. This is just what I found thru my research in the forums.

To your second questions. All the pipes should fit with each other no matter the brand. I haven't read of anyone having problems fitting a MAP downpipe with a TurboXS HFC (this is what I am more than likely getting). Hope this helps. Good luck with your search.

You get what you pay for......now that being said Ive personally never had a UR product on my car but ive heard there decent
I would recommend the AMS one but also look into an ETS they also make great stuff
Also if you wanna be loud and obnoxious under boost get you a o2 dump downpipe, ETS makes one

MAP's o2 eliminator downpipe has served me well for about 45k miles now. Good price, lifetime warranty, and it's proven to work.

The VTA downpipes always make more power. The recirculated downpipes keep the sound down, but they still neck back into your exhaust system. The VTA downpipes are extremely loud under wide open throttle / full boost.

We have both designs.
