Help with clutch, video link inside
Help with clutch, video link inside
Please help as I have not done a clutch replacement myself before. Symptoms are:
- rattle noise when clutch pedal is out and car is in neutral gear.
- Most annoying symptom. clutch pedal does not always return to up position fully when driving and shifting. Sometimes have to lift up on bottom of the pedal with my toe for pedal to fully return to up position.
I have no leaks on slave cylinder.
I have no leaks on SSP master cylinder.
I bleed the system today and there is not air in system. Still doing symptoms.
I have a Spec stage 2 clutch of unknown milage (on car when I bought it.)
i suspect the CMC or the TOB.
I have a video of me pushing the clutch fork by hand with the slave cylinder removed. This is pushing the fork end in the direction of drivers side. There are two spots in the travel where there is friction to the point of sticking. you can see it in the beginning of the movie on the first press of the fork. I can not push the other direction (IE direction slave pushes) by hand due to not enough leverage with my hand/fingers. Does this video look like normal operation?
What do you think is my solution?
