Hi I just got me 2008 Evo x But when I start the car
And after 2-3 seconds I hear a clunk in the back of the
Car I have no idea what could it be ????

Does the car have any modifications to it? Exhaust? Does it happen when you are start to move or are you just sitting still?

 

The exhaust is stock
But it makes the sound then the car is parked
Not in motion

 

Any way you can post a video of the sound?

I have the same sound from what you describe at the same time interval. It was right after I got my AYC pump replaced and the mitsu dealer said that will happen when its breaking in. I can only assume that it may make the same sound if its going out...

 

The only thing I can imagine is the AYC pump is going out. It is the only thing that would make a sound like that from the rear while the car isn't moving. It's up under the rear bumper.

 

Yeah guys its in the bumper I think it is the pump I went with my buddy hes got a shop he works on evos an sti. That's what he told me that it might be the pump but he said that's there is no codes or cel and He told me that shouldn't make that noise
