I would do a boost leak test.

I did one a couple weeks ago and found a small leak in my UICP.

Make sure all of your clamps are on straight and tighten down real good. You said it sounds like crap at WOT... Any vids?

Yea, I can feel something at lower rpms. But its at 1-2k before redline you just feel like it's all gone for a split second until I shift.

just because you tightening the t-clamps, doesn't mean that you don't have a boost leak somewhere, do a real boost leak test, and go get the car tuned, than it won't idle like crap.

^^^Funny you mention that...a few months back a local guy was complaining about his car not running properly after installing an ETS UICP so I volunteered to check it over for him. I come to find out he put a clamp at the center of each coupler between the pipes rather than at each end of the coupler on the pipes!

Over the years I have noticed the Evo is many customers first turbo platform. So I've seen my share of crazy installs as well The main one is the blow off valve backwards and MAF housings unplugged.
