so I searched for a thread on this but I wasnt getting any hits. so I raised the front of my car today and with the tranny in gear the front wheels will spin. the rears are still on the pavement. is this normal or do I have a big problem? thanks for reading.

If your emergency brake is on, the rear diff is disabled, which means only the front would turn. I would not recommend lifting only the front of the car and taking the hand brake off...

 

thanks for the reply. I only have 4k miles left on the powertrain warranty. just being cautious before I'm responsible for all repairs.
