Clutch Sticking

2010 GSR, 37k miles, original clutch, no engine mods

Driving earlier today and noticed that when I release the clutch pedal it sticks just before I'm completely off of it. Once I was releasing the clutch approaching an intersection while I was just barely covering the brake. I noticed that the sticking clutch pedal caused a corresponding move to the brake pedal.

I just had the CMC recall done last month.

What's going on? I thought that a failing clutch would slip and not stick?

Honestly, if i was you, i would take it back to the dealer that performed the work. Also, did you get under neath where the pedals are and inspect everything? Perhaps something is just caught?

Perhaps they didn't properly bleed the clutch.

I go with the last one, bleed / swap the clutch fluid.

The above makes me think that they didn't bolt down the mounting plate correctly, rather that it being a fluid issue. The only way for fluid in the clutch to affect the brakes is via the shared reservoir, and that seems doubtful.

Took it out again yesterday and no problems. It was only a short drive though. If it happens again I'll just take it back to the dealership. A bit concerned they'll try to duck responsibility since it's been 6 weeks since they did the recall work.

Fingers crossed.

I, personally, would not wait. Once we're talking brake pedal issues, I would not feel safe.
