Exhaust help.

Hey all....
Well I recently bough my buddies evo x and it's pretty bad azz.... The only thing is I need to quiet down the exhaust and I need the stock recaros... I currently have the bride racing seat that r adjustable... Would like to trade some one if possible. Regardless the exhaust consists of what lookslike 3in from the turbo down. It has a small bottle resonator and a small muffler. I need to quiet it down without restricting the flow... I've been down this road with my truck and I ended up putting 2 vibrant oval resonators and a 24in magnaflow muffler. Now I'm pretty sure I can't use the same muffler cause it's probably to big for under the car. Maybe the resonators too.

Now before u all start recommending bolt up systems this car is way passed stock.. plus the pipes r made of a different metal than others. I would have to check but I believe it's titanium..

Thanks

First welcome to forum. I have the 3" exhaust the same as you have. Yes it is a bit loud when I get on it. I would recommend going with a complete different exhaust. Not sure how much $$ you want to spend. Cobb makes a bad *** exhaust that is nice sounding at WOT but not obnoxious. http://www.cobbtuning.com/Mitsubishi...t-p/552301.htm Do you have CAT on your X? This exhaust has one but it flows well. Good luck.

if you do any changes to the exhaust and want to quite it down there is not much options without installing cats and resonators. also you run the possibility of affecting your tune. just putting in my 2 sense. quote me if im wrong.

Yeah that coffin thing would probably build up back pressure.... Either way the sound is toned down I would like a lil more but this will do for now. The mufflers I used r rated for 2k hp and 2k Cfm. That's what's most important gotta keep the gases flowing without restriction.
