Stock Housing Turbos for the Road Courses

For all the trackers with upgraded turbos:

Which ones do you like the best? Looking for as much useable power on the road course as possible.

Thinking FP Red or BBX Full (discontinued) but would like to hear some opinions. Only interested in stock housing, not stock frame / location.

(i.e. No MHI 18K, No GTX3576, etc)

The MHI 18k is sotck housing, its basically a journal bearing green designed by FP, sold by Mitsubishi. But that's besides the point.

I love the red on my 8, it has a fantastic powerband, and I'm sure it would deliver similar results on a X.

The compressor cover is changed completely, so it doesn't count as stock housing under the rule set I would be under.

So they don't allow anti surge ported covers? I'm not sure you can get an FP X turbo without it. They also come standard with a 3" version of the bolt on inlet..

well, let's say FP is ok, but MHI is not. What would you pick.

I've never driven a BBK or blouch turbo, so I'm biased, but I really do love my Red. I have it with the MHI exhaust housing. It hits full boost around 4100-4200, and transient response is amazing, and it pulls to 8k like a freight train. With dual mivec on a X, a good tuner should easily be able to get full boost a few hundred rpm earlier.

See my FP Red thread - I'm being told they are no longer doing BB upgrades and the FP Reds are all being upgraded as journal now. I even just purchased another stock turbo to send to FP but now not sure what to do.... the 18k looks/sounds great if going the journal route, though not sure you can even get one now.
