I haven't seen much in the way of new turbos hitting the market in 2015 or planned for 2016, although I'm not tuned in to all the dialogue.

Are there any big advancements in technology on the horizon? I thought I saw EFR was working on a new turbo with quick response that could make big power based on new variable valving technology. Most of what I've seen recently is the usual trade offs of spooling characteristics vs. max power, but nothing that is a real game changer.

I'm looking to build my block over the winter and want to get the latest and greatest turbo to go with it - even if it isn't out until 2016.

 

If you're going to a t3 or t4 setup, the BW EFR's or FP Xona Rotor turbos are looking to be the current pinnacle, with the new PTE stuff not very far, if at all, behind.

 

BW released the Airwerks SX-E line a few months ago.

 

Found this while searching. I keep seeing Xona this and that. They making responsive twin scroll turbos or what? I want good response.
