As far as the "must be nice" comment, just remember it's a total pita to swap turbos on the 10 compared to the 8/9.
just curious where do you get that info from?

Also to the OP yes go for the GTX series don't waste your time on the old outdated GT series.

The GTX series compressor wheels will make more HP per PSI of boost over there GT series.

ATP is local.

Also, you can see for yourself by going to the Garrett site, they list 3071/76 only for Evo X.

You can also call them and ask.

let us know what power you make at moore, I'm in the woodbridge area and looking to do this exact thing, with either an 18k or gtx3071/76. Looking to get at least 400whp on pump gas. Wanna see your results on the gt3071.

I have no need/want at the moment to drop thousands of $$ to build the motor and obviously e85 is out of the question in VA so the 3576 really is too much for my car with just basic bolt ons and stuff

the 18k just didn't appeal to me. Everyone says it spools a lil quicker and it a great turbo. But Ive seen good reliable power from garret turbos. Im at 330 with just a tune. I got an ETS intake now and agency power manifold. I ordered a MAP one but they're out of stock till late march and i can't wait that long. My stock mani has the typical crack so its getting tossed. I sure wish we had E85 !!!!

Yeah, I feel like I'm in that exact situation! The 18k looks nice, but it sounds like it's going to be JUST outside of the power range I'm looking for, which is at least 400 on pump gas so obviously for both of us, the closest e85 station is in ashburn, and the only others being in quantico on base.

I currently just bought my evo in november, so there's not much to it yet, I have a ets v2 catback coming and will soon start adding more parts, cant wait to see what you dyno at with the gt3071r, im looking at getting the gtx3071r so it would have some improvement.

Hopefully mine doesn't have the "crack", whatever that is, it only has 25k miles so I'm hoping the crack issue wont show up until later?

That's it? I would think you'd get more with a turbo upgrade + E85...

Yeah sorry about the delay I've been in and out of the country. I just finished the install with zero problems. No leaks. Started right up after 3 months of being out. I drove it today (didn't go into boost of course.) everything checks out and I'm calling Moore tomorrow to schedule my tune ! My boy has a YouTube channel and he'll be posting a video of the whole process. He already has a few videos up of the turbo install. Can't wait !!

Update. I still was losing oil. There's oil all in my turbo inlet and intake piping. Just blowing blue smoke when I pass 3k in the rpms. Low compression in cylinder 4. Taking off the head to see what's going on. I'm pretty sure it's my intake valve but we'll see.

Not related to the turbo, but I wanted to give you some peace of mind on that manifold. I've had my AP Manifold since late 2011 and it's still holding up awesome.

After MONTHS my car is up and running even better than the first day I bought it. I ordered a brand new short block. Got a valve job and they milled the head. ARP head studs, AP mani, GT turbo, ets intake and all new fluids and tires. Worked on with my father. Worst part of this garage build was that I lost my keys -_-. $330 from the dealer for the key fob. Then had to tow it out 40 minutes to my closest dealer. Got my key programmed in about 30 minutes and paid $70 for it. The car started right up after like 6-7 months. Having my Evo back is just the best feeling. I called up Moore automotive and set up my tune date. Breaking in the engine right now tho and it sucks hahahaha wish I could WOT !!!
