GT3071R on stock Evo

im pulling the trigger on this turbo. I am completely stock except for a tune and ETS intake. My question is will I need to buy more supporting mods? or is it completely safe to run this turbo by its self. I have a very good tuner Chris at Moore Automotive.

Why not tell Chris at Moore Automotive your goals and budget and let him sort you out?

You will need a fuel pump and injectors at a minimum. An intercooler, intercooler piping, and turbo back exhaust would also be highly recommended.

I've always been curious about a turbo upgrade early in the modding process

Out of curiosity why did you choose that turbo? The GT series is starting to show its age, and IMO there are some better performing options out there.

What is your budget and end power goals? The MHI TF06-18K is an easy bolt on upgrade and can get you to ~400whp on pump gas with great spool.

Yes I'm trying to get 400whp or a bit more. 2K for the turbo is my budget. I don't want to build my motor until it goes. Im looking at the turbos you sent me now !

Call FP and ask them about the MHI TF06-18K. They are super nice and will give you some insights and alternatives. Ask them about sale pricing, you may be pleasantly surprised.
