What razorlab said. Call them and see if there is anything you can do to upgrade to the GTX. Most places don't charge restocking fess when exchanging items, especially when what you want costs a bit more.

Because Garrett squeezes every drop of money out of their products. Honestly, even the GTX line is overdue for a refresh.

I didn't know this. So the ATP GT30 to EVO-X turbines have a funky u-turn in them ?
They are not the same as the Garrett designed turbine for the Evo-X ?

Personally I would return it and get the GTX.
That's exactly what I'm going to do. I should've done more research!

As far as I know, they are like the 8/9 turbos with basically a 90* turn right after the turbine inlet.

Garrett GT/GTX bolt on turbos for Evo X use the same housing design. They have nothing to do with 8/9 turbo housing designs.

http://www.atpturbo.com/mm5/merchant...egory_Code=GTH

GTX is just wheel design differences.

Ah, must have been the wrong picture that I saw. Must be nice having a X. Makes for solid bolt on turbo options with the stock housing style. The have 3582 and 3576 boltons too...

The Evo 10 bolt on 3576/82R aren't Garrett products. ATP takes the Garrett cores and machines them for the different wheels and internals. Unfortunately this also introduces oil leakage problems.

Evo 10 bolt on GT/X 3071/76R are 100% Garrett products.

As far as the "must be nice" comment, just remember it's a total pita to swap turbos on the 10 compared to the 8/9.

Ah, that sucks, the 3576 and 82 are great turbos.

I've done it on the X, it's not THAT bad, it's just more work. Not necessarily harder as long as you don't break any O2 housing bolts lol. I do have a lift though, which makes things easier.

OP, were you able to exchange/cancel/whatever your GT for a GTX series?

Was this all in or was there more left? I'm assuming that 401awhp is probably everything that the turbo had.

Great numbers. I bet the car is a blast to drive.

This honestly was a lot more fun to drive than my 9, we actually brought power down. Car could've made more had I gone bigger injectors, but this was on a completely stock long block so I wouldn't have pushed it much more anyways. Numbers were on a Dyno Dynamics, tuned at KTMotoring. I have a graph I'll try and post it to this thread.
