This is a killer Street Turbo

So I have been running a Kinugawa CHRA 11 blade GTX style 20G-TD05 with 9 blade STS turbine for a while now. I am using a Turbosmart actuator and MHI turbine housing. I didn't trust them to make either of those parts

Light to light, I am ready to start declaring this turbo as "killer"

[this is equivalent to Monty Python "I would like to start an argument"]

I wanted to run it for 10kmi, before giving it any praise. I am kissing on 10kmi now.

What other turbo makes 200 ft-lb at 2750 RPM, and also ~380hp to the wheels?

Keep in mind a few things about this setup:

1.) This is a MR. Add what 20-30hp for a GSR? This would put it at around 400 to the wheels. The baseline was around 220hp, but I lost that log when the laptop HD died
2.) This is through a Mil-Spec CAT
3.) This is self tuned, so I am sure I am leaving power on the table. I just don't want to make too much torque with the SST.
4.) Daily driver. No backup. Baby car seat in the back.

I have documented this turbo here:

and my personal dyno results here:

On my old 91 tune my stock turbo was making 270wtq at 2750rpm. It also made 362whp

Most recent tune has me at 387hp, and my car is an MR. For your 362whp on the stock turbo, what was the baseline, at what RPM was this whp, and was it a GSR ?

252whp if I remember correctly. When mine did the 362whp on the stock turbo it was at 6108 rpm. And yes a GSR

Couple things. 1 - So your baseline is 30hp more than an MR (which is normal). and 2 - the turbo was loosing steam and so you peaked early. That all makes sense. The smaller the turbo the more torque you can make down low and the sooner the HP peaks and falls off. What I have been impressed with is that this setup has such a WIDE torque band and if I dared it appears it has a lot more top end steam left. 387hp at the wheels in an MR is like 417+ hp to the wheels in a GSR. When you take that number and then realize that your making 200 lb-ft at 2750rpm and that's where I came to the declaration that this is a killer street turbo setup

after all of that for the waste gate and the housing wouldn't it cost about the same as a MHI 18?

It was less than half the price of an 18k. I did re-use the OEM housing, and I don't think there is even a source to buy MHI EVO X OEM turbine housings. I am guessing the 18k doesn't make 200 lb-ft until some time after 3.2k rpm. Would have to poke around and look at charts to know for sure. I DO think that is a great turbo, but just not as responsive down low as this setup. If something happened to this turbo I would either just stick with it again, or go 18k to be honest.
