Bad turbo or boost leak?

Hey guys
Ive been dealing with this issue for a while now. Need your guys opinion whether i have a bad turbo or boost leak or something else.
At first i thought it was a wastegate fluttering or boost leak. But, have installed n re-tighten all clamps on intake, ic pipings, tried new aftermarket iwg. Same issue.
Once turbo reach wastegate pressure it makes this ch ch ch sound when on part throttle.
I read n researched online n most saying its turbo compressor surge.

2015 gsr, bolts on, etune on 91, 6500k miles

Shouldn't be having any compressor surge with the stock turbo lol. What BOV are you using? Who did your etune?

Was doing with both the stock bpv n turbosmart dual port. Ts dual port is currently on the car now.
Also have a kinuwaga 18psi iwg.
Rick at road race engineering did my etune.
The thing is, i was having this issue as soon as i installed upper ic piping n ets intake.

Cobb ap v3
Gs 3 port
Ets intake
Upper, lower ic piping
Depo 4" intercooler
Turbosmart dual port
Tbe, with resonated test pipe

Honestly once I installed my ETS intake and UICP I could hear all sorts of new noises too. On part throttle, it was my Turbosmart BOV making the noise.
Rick is a good tuner, I'd give him a call and see what he thinks, but my experience with close to your exact mods is that the TS BOV had part throttle flutter.

I thought it was the turbosmart bov too, but still does same thing when i put stock bpv on.

Like i said, i was having this issue before my tune with rick. It was just upper ic piping n ets intake. Same issue even with the cobb stage 2 n 3 maps.

Thought maybe it just need a good tune. Rick said everything looks good on the logs. He thought maybe its the gs 3port bleeding air. I guess that kinda makes sense but that sound is more like wg or bov fluttering.
Ive tried everything. Like, put stock bpv, intake with the ets cone filter, new wg, reinstall n tighten all clamps, hoses, and even spray soapy water by hoses, clamps but no bubbles.

Last resort was thinking of a new turbo or a dyno tune. It kinda sux when turbo/car only have 6500 miles if indeed turbo is bad or something.

Turbo definitely shouldn't be bad, and Rick would be able to see abnormalities in the logs if it was. Definitely doesn't sound like a leak at a coupler.

Would you be able to get a video of the noise? Might help pinpoint the issue.

The metal tube intakes amplify the noises. The OEM is a rubber accordion tube that dampens those noises.

Now you don't have the dampener, now you hear the noises.

Welcome to owning a turbo car.

I get the same thing at part throttle especially in 5th gear on the hwy. It's like a surge and the car will back fire a little too. I'm pretty sure it's just something u gotta deal with when u start mofldding these cars. It's the price u pay to go fast
