Hello all! Today while driving the X I did a mild 2nd gear pull. Car sputtered and the CEL flashed and the engine started to make a loud ticking noise, RPM dependent. I pulled over immediately and shut the car off. Checked oil and over the engine to see if anything looked odd. Started the car up and noise was still there, then disappeared. Drove the car home and did not make the same noise again. Car drives fine, AFR's are fine cruising. I have not done any other pulls at all. Any ideas?

 

A flashing CEL and sputtering sounds like a misfire. Check your plugs, though I'm not sure how that relates to the ticking sound. Is it different from the normal injector ticking?
