Rear O2 Sensor Replacement
Bought a used EVO X last week and it has a vibrant exhaust which is missing the rear O2 sensor so I have a CEL. Need to pass Ontario emissions so I need a replacement rear O2 sensor then the shop will install it for me & pass my emissions. OEM is $600, just wondering if this $177 replacement the correct part, plug & play or does anyone have any links for other versions of the same parts. Thank you. 2008 EVO X GSR.

Thanks for the reply. Does this also look like the correct part, would save me the time waiting to ship which would be nice. https://www.napacanada.com/en/p/NGB25693#

Not the answer you are looking for, ngk looks like it is using the right plug. If Napa confirms it it should be fine, another fine alternative is:
Or the best alternative, just disable the sensor if your planning on modding your car, I believe goldens images have the disable rear o2 built in.

@Cflo23, I haven't replaced mine as I just straight up disabled it. However, most parts these days talk on IEEE (aka a standard format approved and registered with the IEEE) style encoding to the ECU so as long as the adapter and language is right there should be no problems.
In short, it should be fine.

Thanks Rasperin, the reason I ask is I stripped the threads on my oem rear o2 sensor while installing my cobb catted test pipe. I was able to fix it with a o2 sensor extension, but not sure if it will be salvageable once I take it off again down the road to install a catless ets test pipe.
I also don't like the fact that I have my oem o2 sensor to a o2 extension than to the test pipe, rather than just have the o2 sensor directly into the test pipe.
I have no check engine lights of any sort and I have no exhaust leaks. Thus I think the o2 sensor extension should suffice until I purchase a brand new sensor just for my personal well being.
