MAPerformance vs other drive train companies
MAPerformance vs other drive train companies
I have the build i want in mind down to the hardware and I was going to go with MAPerformance but I just finished talking with some guys on an Evo X page and they are saying to go with English racing. I can't find any good threads or reviews comparing them. I am looking for something that can hold 800-1000HP. It is all depending on how well they build their blocks and cylinder heads.
P.S. I see MAPerformance basically has a grasp on this site which worries me that they are just pumping their products.

Stay away from MAP. Send your trans/tcase/rear diff to TRE if any of those need going through.
If you need an engine, buy an engine from a company that actually uses/races the engines they build and are selling you. MAP does not do this. English Racing, Buschur, Curt Brown, or Boostin Performance are great options.
Check out the last few pages of this thread to see why you should avoid MAP. Pal215's engine was broken in and tuned properly, and still had issues. Once he posted the build sheet, it was easy to look at the numbers and see that the thing was completely pencil whipped and likely does not represent any of the actual size/clearances inside the engine.

Worth noting, ER has the record holding Evo X/4b11. They know all the tricks to keeping the 4b11 reliable/together.
