Im puzzled by the car behavior and would like some help from you gents.

My AMS Intercooler has always been very efficient matching Manifold temps to IATs. Lately its raising rapidly under WOT and increasing 18 F by the end of 4th gear which is making the car detonate. Seeing 10 degree knock on Cobb.

What is puzzling is that i sprayed Methanol and tried different mixes between 50/50 all the way to 100 meth and temps are still not going down at the manifold. Before meth used to drop temps below IAT by at least 25-30F.

What could cause this?

 

Pull the charge pipes off, see if there is a nice coating of oil in them, and in the intercooler. Maybe time to clean it out.

 

If your also seeing that your running more rich that you used too, then a boost leak can cause the turbo to throw some hot air since it essentially moves out of its efficiency range. Boost leak check would be in order. I would def check for the oil coating first though!
