Fluttering RPM and air noise?

Hey y'all, I'm hoping you can help me out.

I've got a 2012 MR, still stock (except for some mudflaps and an Evo 8 wing) with 50k miles. When I cruise around 30-40 mph or when I'm slightly accelerating (so 2k-2.5k rpm), every few seconds there's kind of a woosh sound from the engine, rpm drops by about 100, and there's a slightly noticeable drop in engine power. Any ideas on what it could be?

Its probably the car shifting.
And your hearing the blow off valve relieve air.
You might have a open element air filter or the car has a aftermarket bov.
