Anyone ever pull the engine leaving the SST in the car?

Yeah, but it's not pretty nor is it easy. T-Case was in the car but disconnected from the transmission. SST shoved as far on the driver side as possible.

I find it easier on both the 8/9 and the X, to remove the tcase, and drop the motor/trans out the bottom onto a furniture dolly (rest it on the dolly with wood, lift car off). Granted, this is only really possible if you have a lift...lol.


Taking the motor trans out of the top is also easier as an assembly, you just need a load leveler for your engine hoist.

Yeah a leveler is a must if you're planning to take the engine & trans together out the top. Comes out at a very steep angle.
