Help with no start.

Hey guys,

So just go done installing my newly built engine. First crank started right up and ran for 30 seconds then died and would not restart. Have fuel pressure, spark, ipw shows on evo scan. Tried starting fluid and no luck. Weird thing is if I unplug the 2 wire connector in the under dash fuse box that controls the fuel pump it will start and run until there is no fuel left in the rail. I've also tried unplugging and starting it and plugging it back in and it will stay running but will die if I let off the throttle. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Did you modify fuel system with your engine build? FPR? Fuel pump?

id 2000, radium hanger with walbro 450 and aeromotive fpr was in prior to the engine build and the car was running fine. I did add a 2nd 450, radium rail, and feed line. The 2nd pump is currently running yet as I was planning breaking in the engine first.

Is or isn't?

Double check your fuel system.
What is your fuel pressure when you start the car?

It looks like you're flooding your engine.

When you had 1 pump, was it OEM wiring? And now with 2 pumps, you have new wiring?

Watch fuel pressure as it runs. Does it drop to 35 psi and stay there idling?

still have some issues and after doing some research my previous tune had min ipw set to 1.024, which the car did idle like crap previously. With my new build I am using 270 procams, i think this is attributing to my issue. I can get it running and am able to drive it around the block but keeping it from dying is another story.

I'm just trying to get it running so I can take it to get tuned. Compression and bore is still the same as stock.

But you upgraded the Cam? How about injectors.

as those 2 things can effect why your car is dying without a tune.

Cams are the only thing different that would affect tune.
