My EVO 10 MR has completed 166000 trouble free kilometres and over the past week the transmission has been (I presume it's solenoids ) very noisy on start up and the occasional gear clashing. Once on the go it seems fine but yesterdy it jumped out of second gear into neutral and I had to drive home in manual mode
I'm not prepared to drive the car other than to a service centre for evaluation.
Can anybody recommend a service centre in Perth Australia which has experience with these transmissions.

 

Hi Jim, It's usually the sensor on the selector fork working lose.
I'm over the other side, so I can't advise you who to see.
