Build EVO X or EVO 9/8
Think about it this way, it's like asking for a 1600whp 4.xL V8. The fact that the stock block casting can even handle this amazes me. My stock SBF 302 would have cracked in half at 500hp which is like 250 outta the 4 banger. Luckily the market is saturated with upgraded domestic blocks.
No implications just context. Its a pretty common thing around here for newbies to show up and throw out some absurd goals without any idea what they are asking for. After maybe 550-600 HP you're basically just in a constant cycle of breaking **** and upgrading it and by the time your done and the car is in a stable state the car is completely transformed from what makes the car an Evolution. You coulda picked up any number of other platforms and achieved the same thing with less money and more reliability. Some of that of course is just my opinion, but personally I think something like a GTR etc is WAY more suited to achieve those kind of goals.
If your building a dedicated race car to compete in a class, or you have something to prove/sell than sure. Otherwise I just think its a bad idea.

Honestly budget and 800hp don't really go together. What ever it costs to achieve is one thing, what it costs to operate over time is a completely different thing. Unless your goal is to just do a couple of dyno pulls, put a cover on it and call it a day. As far as platforms go, it really comes down to what you want to do with that 800hp. General rule though, no replacement for displacement. A bigger engine will live a happier life at higher HP numbers because you are putting the individual components under less stress to achieve those numbers.
Yes unfortunately its a pretty expensive hobby. I think the most important thing though is going to be getting experience to build context and make good choices. This will save you a TON of money and sanity over time. I'm guessing by your goals you are into drag racing, so hit up the local strip on a test and tune night and start getting your feet wet. You will get an idea what kind of local support networks exist for which platforms and get to talk to people about their cars. The internet isn't the real world and just like social media you will usually only see the good being presented without any of the larger context.
I am trying to learn as much as I can and get exposure with each platform and see what is best for me. Doing it right the first time will definitely save alot of headaches and money. I appreciate the encouragement.
Best/most affordable way to have 800whp is... 2018+ mustang gt with 10 speed auto and the performance pack (PP preferred, but not required). Whipple 3.0L genV blower, E85, full exhaust, required fuel stystem parts (obviously), upgrade radiator, and possibly a torque converter. It will be fast, and it will be relatively reliable.

You can find the mustang I'm talking about for around or less than 35k USD.
I understand. Is the tax really that bad though? A dude said 800whp can be had on a LS2/LS3 C6 for 20-25k USD. I think thats a pretty good dead considering the cost of the car.
I would never buy a corvette, and certainly not a 10+ year old corvette.
I have a mustang, can confirm stupid activities just seem to be part of the package. Mustangs are just wild horses by nature. Being young and dumb doesn't help much either. I can pretty much guarantee every mustang owner has some stories though. Putting the cage in it was probably the smartest mod I have done.
