Not building boost

Hey all,
I got my Evo about 3 months ago and it's been a dream, however recently I was out doing some spirited driving and my Evo stopped making turbo flutter sounds and had a significant loss in power.

the car is mostly stock except for some mods done by the previous owner:
tuned to 330hp but I'm not sure the psi
MAP 3" cone filter intake
Grimmspeed electronic boost controller
High flow cat on stock exhaust, but the car was sold to me with a test pipe and a straight pipe
Exedy twin plate clutch(I don't think that matters in this situation)

I did a pressure test on the intake and there were some leaks, but after fixing them it's still not building boost or making any flutter though I can definitely hear the recirc valve opening. It's also not the fuel vacuum hose at the front of the engine.

I'm hoping it's not the turbo reaching the end of its life and was wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem? Could the cat be clogged? Thanks

Do you have a boost gauge?

Does it feel like it's making less power? Running rich? Lean?

Any info you can provide about what is happening will help with diagnosis.

With the info provided, I'd lean towards a failed boost controller maybe? But I wouldn't throw parts at it until you sort through the actual issue.

I don't have a boost gauge, but now would be a good time to get one.
There's definitely a loss of power, though I'm not sure if it's running rich or lean.
there's no CEL or anything, and there's no strange noises other then the lack of flutter.

The previous owner had it tuned for a test pipe, and said it ran better with it but I haven't noticed any problem until now, but I'm going to check the cat today anyway.
thanks for the reply

I found the issue, the wastegate actuator fell off the wastegate lever because the pin rusted away to nothing!

That makes sense. So your wastegate was hanging open.

I'd suggest getting a wideband and boost gauge minimum. These are invaluable when troubleshooting stuff like this.
