Love the X, fast enough, modern, lotsa goodies. Hate the price -
had a real deal with the 30k supercar. I can even see mid 30's for all the bells and whistles. I like driving a 30k supercar. Even as a loyal fan and owner, I don't think I'll fork over 40k+ for the X that I want. Too many other options at 35-45k coming up.

Did Mitsu ask something to Evo crowd? like: What do you expect for the next car?
NO, NO and NO!
Another important thing: The new model can not break with the last model, just keep it better and better; Mitsu forgot this rule and forgot to make it faster and forgot to make it lighter.
I hope that C&D is wrong! The Evo X is 13,8sec up to 100mph, the last clocked Evo IX was 12,6!!!
My Evo X spec:
2.3liter, 4cylinder, variable camshaft lift and timing E and I, variable intake manifold, carbon driveshaft, 5and6 speed manual transmission, interior as before, lighter wheels, two piece rotors, bilstein susp. standard, revised ACD, mod friendly.
3000lbs and 360hp/340lbf-ft, 0-60: 4,5s / 0-100: 12s / 1/4: 12,9@109 / 5-60: 5s
redline: 7800rpm

IX is rated at "Horsepower: 286 hp Torque: 289 ft-lbs" from Edmunds with a curb weight of 3200-3300 lbs. The new Evo X is supposed to have more hp and 311 ft-lbs of torque and weigh 3300 lbs so how is it slower? I think the road tests arn't final yet.
Okay I just did a quick tally, everyone who is bashing the X (with one odd exception - syr00) owns or has owned a previous Evo.
I'm happy you are all threatened enough to actively vocalize your displeasure for the X.

well come on now, this place would be pretty boring if we all didn't vocalize our opinions on things! and for the record, I haven;t owned an Evo yet, I was an old school DSMer
The X is definitely growing on me and I think half the people ont the thread will own one in the next couple years. The VIII and IX will turn into the old dsm's, outdated but still respected and definitely not the fastest thing on the steet anymore.
Yeah I didn't bash the X, but who cares.... so STFU adambl03!

i actually dont mind the looks of it. Im just not a fan because, like i said, i got an evo because it feels and drives like nothing else, and the second it would lose that it has no value to me. my next car will most likely be the 135i
