First off and the biggest disappoint is that fact they're not using the 4g63 aka one and only Evo motor

Secondly it seems like it's mostly just a showy body style but it looks bad too lol

I prefer the looks of my IX. The front of the X is growin on me, but I hate the tailights. They're positioned too high like on a mazda 3. Anyways, the new engine may be limited to how much power it can hold, we have yet to see.It sucks with these new emissions rules, just like the engine change with the new GTR. Also the new generation of cars seem to be more electronic-dependent. I like to have the feeling that the car still depends on me for the most part, even if its a false sense.

So even 20 years from now on you would still want the evo to use the 4G63 motor? I always laugh when you guys cry about how they switched motors. Yes lets live in the past and still use pigeons to send letters.

When I look at the X I just don't think Evo. Maybe that will change but for now I still favor the IX.

Damn.
that's nuts.
I just got done driving both versions of the 08 Subarus, that hatchback & sedan version.
WRX models.

I will say this.
The WRX is now bigger then the previous.
The steering radius is not as good as predecessor, but the ratio feels the same.
I ran it up to 80-95 mph around some bends and still felt quite a bit of lean to it. MY 08 LANCER has LESS roll then the WRX which is crazy in comparison.
The launch was quite impressive, though.
The sedan, sadly felt too much like a sedan. But the HATCHBACK cut corners like the new LANCER if not better. When I used to drive the IX, i never thought I was driving a sedan, it felt like a regular compact. It's like you forget you have 4drs but the new WRX 'REMINDS' you that you have 4drs. So, too me, i felt like was driving a bigger car.

The WRX fully loaded w/o the Tech Package was going for 24k.
With the tech package it was going for like 27k & change.

Can't wait to try out the RA Lancer, and the GSR to make comparison to the WRX.

I drove the E.BLue sedan, and the black hatch.
The salesman said that the STI should be released in Spring. But he said he wasn't sure and not to quote him on that.

Because it needs at least 3 gears to get up a hill.

I love my Evo IX. To be honest, even when Evo8 were around back then, I never took notice or was that really interested in them.

The EvoX, never have or will like it.
