i'm just stating what the REP said. my cousin asked him if this was the US Spec Weight. And it showed it on the computer as US Spec. but like i said before i'm also still skeptical.

I don't think anyone is trying to knock you for sharing the information you heard. It's always good to hear new info on the car. Those numbers just seemed a little off since they are the same as the JDM spec which I think we all know the USDM will weigh more than the JDM. Anyhow, we'll have our official answer soon enough.

I was gonna look elsewhere (135i) because of the 3517lb but if it is infact 3344lb I'm back on the wagon!

Subscribed for some official information on the USDM Evo X's curb weight. It's going to be tough to impress an Evo RS owner though...

Alright it has come time to beat my cousin for giving me false info!! that rat bastard!

Anyway i just found this out from, i guess, the official spec sheet for the X.

looks like it says 3517lb's for the GSR and 3594 for the MR.

here's the link.

It's a little too much weight for my taste.
I have to say, i'm a little disappointed. Should still be a badass machine!

damn. a bit heavy,

The skyline which is 3800 has 480hp ^_^ so in its case that is fine.

But the evo only has 291hp wtih 3517 at the least

I think the sti weights 1480 kg, to lbs that is about 3263 in the hatchback form. I was wrong i just looked this up, the STI actually weights 3395 lbs.

We will see when they compare the sti to the evo this coming year.

To me though weight isn't that big of a deal (im not hardcore) but hopefully the X is still nimble.

Well, looks like we've got release date, weight and power nailed down. Just need options & PRICING!!! And when the MR will actually come here and if they've got the "issues" worked out yet...

Oh, and look at the very bottom of the chart that jackygor posted...in the small type...this information has been available since 8/20/07! Those bastards at have been holding out on us for 3 months
