Who is hardcore evo 10 faneboy? The f***ing isnt out yet. How can someone be a fan of a car that isnt even here. Damm, sorry i got a little mad there. Too much hate towards something that one person tested on one single day. Speculate all you guys want but damm, stop the bashing, no one will know how capable the car is untill its here, bottom line.

There's no way the X is going to outperform a IX in a straight line or on the race track being 300lbs heavier and having roughly equivelant power. I don't care how many computer controlled diff's' gearboxes, etc. Weight is king on the track. It's just a different car. It's designed to appeal to a different demographic.

It does get better gas mileage and emit fewer emissions. Where are the Prius buyers???

Actually a lot of people bashed evo 9 lovers and pretty much called them idiots because from what we know so far, we liked the 9 better. All of those people bashing us 9 lovers is who I'm talking about.

I dont know if it was C&D or R&T but one of them had a track test with the 2 and the evo X did it a second faster than the IX but it said that the IX was still more fun to drive

More solid (a stretch)? Good communication through the wheel (possibly, but not more than the IX)? I can believe that the communication might be good, but better than the IX? Doubtful...as all other reviews have suggested the opposite. I'd like this guy to explain why the X is slower.
Actually on a race course the IX steering does go a little light and lifeless on initial turn-in, almost like your driving a car with half the weight or you've caught some air (obviously not the case). But once the car takes a set, the steering feel returns in bucket-loads. I don't think the race instructor above is far off with his interpretation.

Fair enough. I've never driven my car on a road course yet, but I haven't really noticed any lightness when pushing the car hard on some of the hillbilly back roads in PA (I assure you, some of the roads around here will give a road course a run for its money). There is feeling galore through the steering wheel. The only time it gets sorta light is when I'm traveling at a high rate of speed on a gradual turn, versus a sharp turn - gets a little hard to tell how well the tires are gripping.

.99 is no joke but with ayc aside the x a 8.5 inch wheel with 245 which is a better contact patch than 235 with 8 inch wheel, im sure those bigger rotors helped get those extra 2 feet but those will fit the previous evos

well we know for sure that the x will brake better since it has bigger brembos...
we know it will probably handle better since it has the ayc
we know because of the weight it will be slower than the ix if the numbers are right... 9 extra hp and 11 extra lb/ft of torque

probably will be more like the speed of the sti....in the edmund's test the ix was 0-60 in 4.9 sec and the sti was 0-60 in 5.4 sec (2006 comparison)
they even said the sti braking was a little better than the ix
(maybe mitsu tried to build an sti....lol)

faster around a track is up to the driver really....i mean u can adjust ur driving to fit any car....it's about making what u have to work with work...just takes time to adjust to it....i'm sure each one has it's strong points and each one has it's weak ones

either way both cars are cool
