what are you talking about? Yes they did kill the eclipse. But i think the EVO X is better, more refined. Yes, it had to gain 300+ lbs to become on par with the industry standards in structure and saftey. It was a much needed change. It still looks sexy as hell and is still fast, just not quite as fast as the outgoing model.

I hate how people are all griping about paper numbers. Not everyone that buys the evo goes out to the track and races it in it's completley stock form. Most people don't even go out and race it. They just drive it on normal streets 100% of the time but never push the evo to it's limits. Then they gripe that it's .3seconds slower here and there but they'll never pratically notice the difference.

I would never say never, but if Mitsu continues heading down their current path then I would not put them on my shopping list when looking for my next car.

That Evo may be uglier than the older ones, but the older ones werent getting more advanced. That platform was becoming old and needed to be changed. Granted the exterior isnt what we would like, but it is a step up in the Evo's evolvement. To condem the car before it is even out for sale here in the US isnt fair. You dont know how it actually drives or handles yet. Yeah there might be some articles about it out there, but use common sence. You dont believe everything you read online do you? Why would you believe everything you read in a mag? Give the car a chance, it might surprise the general public and become a formable car for us older Evos.

its not just the weight...its also on how it looks

not everybody buys an M3 or M5 and take that to the track...but then again BMW or any other makes wouldnt down grade their cars

example: 03 EVO come stock with HID......all GSR after that is an option
thats like buying a new S2000 but now it come stock with 16inch rims

I plan to test drive the Evo X. But my hopes arent high. And yes, the days of the "Racer boy" Evo are over. And I must agree mitsu doesnt back up thier product for S@#t.

Well, look at it like this. If you bought a new Viper you wouldnt even get a warranty to begin with. Mitsu will back up all of their other vehicle lines, but not a much on the Evo line.
