Autoweek seems to like the USDM Evo X
Anyway, Evo X is a different animal than Evo VII-IX, just like Evo VII-IX was different from VI, thats why it's called Evolution, for some for better and for some for worse. Either way, Evo X will still be a very fast, responsive car with handling of a supercar. Question that remains is how mod friendly is the 4B11T but I guess it will take some time to really find out. But it was just a matter of time when Mitsu would drop 4G63 in favor of a more modern engine design as 4G63 design goes back to early 1980s.
so anyways...
I plan to keep my IX for a while, but even if i was looking in the market for a new car, i wouldn't be going crazy for the X. Like it has been said before, it is a totally new platform, and there may be some problems. Better to hold off. Someone else also said that the performance is also lacking, and i agree. Just my .02 cents

The X has its ups and downs, but the majority of ups are its technological advances which is a no brainer.. but this car is Porky, doesn't even look good.. I say less than half the people who have casted an opinion had said its "Good lookin, sexy, hot, etc"
Its fast around the track but then again your just steering, the only real fun factor here is feeling all that G force..
I don't see a way in hell that you are going to get an adrenaline rush by just mashing the gas and paddle shifting in a drag race either.. The engine on the other hand its pretty good, so will see how it reacts to mad boost..
