wow...that was dumb. so speeding in a stock looking EVO will somehow make the cops radar register a lower speed? man, why didn't i ever think of that? oh yeaahhhh, because it's retarded.

You should see me speed in my VW wagon! Yes it makes a difference, especially once you get pulled over. Gauges on the A pillar = ticket. If you don't think so... well, then enjoy your ticket.

If your comment was meant to suggest I shouldn't speed... yes, I agree, none of us should. But that's not a realistic scenario.

It makes a big difference dude. I had a pretty much open exhaust in my n/a 3000GT (catless, mufflerless), which was only half as fast as my stock IX - I got pulled over more for b.s. reasons and got more tickets with points. I've had my Evo for a year, was pulled over twice for speeding when they were doing speed traps, and only got "disobeying the posted speed limit " versus "speeding." No points and the cops were actually nice to me. The one cop was almost apologetic and the other caught me going 83 in a 55 - no points.

I guarantee you, when I get my TBE on, cops will be gunning for me...they'll hear me coming a mile away and be telling themselves "here comes one a dem rice burners." They'll see the big freakin' wing, aggressive (stock) body kit, and won't think twice about giving me the biggest ticket they can. In stock form, I usually don't even get a second look from cops - its kinda nice.

Is it me or are you somewhat asking for trouble....you are adamant that the noise level of yor previous car contributed to several tickets....yet you are going out of your way to increase the noise level of your current car????

Suggestion, why don't you leave the stock exhaust in place and simply get an electric exhaust cut-out for the times you wanna be frisky.. That way the other 90% it's quiet.
