drove the evo x at work
If mitsubishi broke in the engines at the factory they wouldn't recommend a rev-limited break-in period, and if the people in japan are abusing the cars on the dock that's bad too...but it doesn't mean drag launches on the boats off our shore are acceptable. it makes me wonder how many problems people experience with these cars can be attributed to pre-delivery handling...
Its easy to tell the difference ... the people throwing that around is just using that as a way to bash the X thats all..
there was no Maronee(price list sheet) on the car. also, i never said i hated the car at all. I jus was pointing out what i like n dislike which was that the evo x blends in with the crowd, park it against other cars n it looks like a regular family sedan.
the wing isnt even as big like the one on the 8 or 9.(not that im complaining at all)
Also i never said i hated the interior, but i said its not all glamorous looking as you may all think. yes its looks more sophisticated but plastic is still everywhere, not as nice as the new sti interior. the buttons/ dials are easy to read n clear. it has a more frindly atmosphere.
Im not backing down on this, the evo feels, rides like an Acura TL, gettin out of the evo i felt like i jus got out of my sisters 04 TL. The steering is not as quick responsive as my 8 thats one thing im sure about too.
Overall, u can DD this car. the little bumps in the ship, the incline to start going up the ramps were soaked up by the suspension, no jarring. its a way more laid back car. I know you will see these evo x everywhere now.wen u guys finally test drive them in february come back here n let me know.

this is a disgrace that they would do this to their flagship car...
ummm, I can undoubtedly identify an IX from a base lancer or even a ralliart. In fact they have different front ends and the base lancers aren't wide at all. So you would have to be a blind idiot if you couldn't spot the differences.
In defense of the poster those engines have seen a lot more abuse, than he's applied to it. They have to make sure it's been properly assembled and they usually run it through the equivalent of 100 miles. Quit giving the guy crap, the X is a decent car but I too have read the steering has gotten heavier mainly due to Mitsubishi wanting to build a more family oriented car. If it helps the Japanese most likely floor your car onto the boat as well, I guess it's acceptable since it's "JDM" right?

I am 24 years old, the two cars i was mulling over was a TL vs EVO.
I went with an IX, but the comfort and looks of the TL was a hard thing to pass up. This is of coarse a daily driver, but dont think you know everything. Trust me.
I have been an X fanboy for 3 years now, but the MSRP just drove me to look for a used car. With an AWD TURBO tsx in the rumor mill, i almost felt like waiting to see what came of that!!!
You are absolutely wrong.

No disrespect but your 24. The Tl was not really in your age bracket as far as marketing target went. That is what the tsx was for. What I meant was the majority of the people who drive the tl (mainly women) will not look down mitsu's path let alone the evo. I have a type s and was not going to give it up for an evo because Some days I can't deal with the ride of the evo, but I love them both and thats why i kept both
As far as the tsx awd turbo, its very possible it will come out and and have sh-awd. If that is the case, mitsu will have no chance of taking away would be acura buyers. Just to let most know that acura's awd is pretty much the same as mitsu's ayc, it just has not been put into the right car to make it shine as yet
