mitsu didnt screw up the evo, the screwd up by bastardizing the rest of the car under it. I said it once and of course I will say it again, the have the incorrect overlap of the ralliart and the EVO etc...

When you look at the EVO 9 Vs. previous gen Lancer, you knew the difference, you knew one was a tru blue track car and the other was a economical sedan, the ralliart, was there and it had its slice of the pipe. But they were unique, they stood out from a higher purch.

Fast forward to today, I am just a bit puzzled. For the EVO X, you want to make a car that is like no other. Then why make a EVO X Lite? I have never owned an EVO, I beleive it was a 6, i drove one for a while but it wasnt mine, but when i drovei t i knew it was special, when i see the ralliart to me it takes away from the EVO X.

Dont get me wrong, what this means is a tall list of semi compatibile aftermarket parts for the 2009 DE ES> RALLIART >and EVOX, I am incredibly happy, assuming the cost stays the same, I think the consumer is getting a good deal. Who loses? well that remains to be scene. Sales numbers for Dec were low, most likely due to the shortage of 08 Lancers, namely the GTS. Oh yeah, we forgot the GTS on the list!, well mitsu switches to a 2.4L 4b12. Will this limit what parts (engine) will be salvagible/compatible from the 4b11 line. yes. Will it be possible to boost the 2.4, sure, will it be more expensive in the short run? yes due to supply and demand / focus of the aftermarket scene. so time will tell.

I dont know i was going to buy another DE for make a 3rd project car but who knows, I might jump up to the Ralliart. Lets just hope the supply of these cars last long enough.

I really hope Mitsu thought this one out and didnt rush things, which is what it is looking like
