Not an article, but this proves we are getting some mixed reviews.

Ok, B****'s listen up. I need your help.
IF YOU CANT BEAT'EM JOIN'EM
I'm looking at picking up a used 9-MR or Wait for the X-MR. Do you think the X-MR is worth the extra 10/12k, over a used 9-MR? I could do alot to the 9-MR with that extra 10/12. I thought I would come here and ask the people who would know best.
Thanks for the help.

A: Wait until all the bugs are worked out with the X's also a IX MR and X MR are totally different (No clutch in the X).
Q: "Do you think the X-MR is worth the extra 10/12k, over a used 9-MR?"
A: Hell NO! Use the extra $ and mod the hell out of the IX. (You said it best yourself) "I could do alot to the 9-MR with that extra 10/12."
So, after seeing this test in the 1/4 mile, I am very confused about the accuracy of these "tests" that we have been seeing.
Right, I don't really care much about 1/4 mile, BUT with the weight that the X has and all the IX owners speculations about the acceleration ability of the X, almost everyone believes that the X is no match to the IX in 1/4 mile. However, the video shows the opposite.

The Best Motoring videos are always hard to gauge their validity. They're using JDM-spec cars and the guys always seem to be joking around and not taking things seriously.
I trust the US magazines a little more. Each of their tests seem to have the IX beating the X in 0-60 and 1/4 and on the track. But, the X isn't that much slower if you're not serious about racing and it's your daily driver. If you are serious, .1 seconds goes a long way between first place and second place (the first loser). For the average drivers, IX vs X is a driver's race. A good driver in both cars and the IX should win.
Who knows anymore!
All the acceleration tests that i've seen have only been off by a few tenths between the stock IX and the X. If that truly matters on the street, i think i'll just give up and go drive top fuel, nitro-methane V8's.
No with the whole car in general, totally new models tend to have alot of bugs when they first come out, then are worked out pretty quick. I wouldnt want to be the one getting the car from day one and then a month or two down the road have it constantly in the shop
