Eviloution310,

Are you stupid?

Look at the dyno I posted of the ix... It drops down to 13psi. Use your eyes and brain before you start trying to talk ****. As far as the dynos being different no ****. Did I ever mention numbers? All I stated is when peak occurs on each sheet. I'm not comparing numbers so get a damn brain before you trying saying I have no idea what im talking about. Comparing peaks between these two dynos is fine as they both put the car under the same type of load.

How are they under the same type of load???

One dyno is using a dynapak and the other a Mustang dyno. Moreover, how do you know which gear the Mustang dyno was run in?

This is a useless argument. At least present numbers on the same dyno..

Both dyno are load based as opposed to a inertia like dynojet...

The x dyno was taken in 3rd, higher the gear the more load the sooner the turbo spools. The I'd dyno looks like its in 3rd as well. So it is a good comparison in my eyes as far as curves are concerned.

I meant that the X will still hit over 300whp...I hope thats how you understood that...wasn't the best choice of wording on my part. I also called that the X will probably drop to 17psi. I can say though I suspect this dyno to read somewhat high like a dynojet. That is still being pretty close to on par with a IX...I do still think the IX will have more topend...bigger turbo.

Doesn't matter if it reads high or not, it is the gains that matter. 55whp with just exhaust and boost controller is very impressive, I've never seen a IX gain that much power with just those two mods and no tune. Might I add this is all being done on 91 octane crap gas.

That's too generalistic. What type of load? What were the load settings at? The only way this argument even has some validity is if they were done on the same dyno IMO, but to each his own.

In the end, I'm willing to bet that the IX will make more power under the curve than the X with the same mods: TBE, tune, and boost. A smaller turbo will make less power. Period.

I did misunderstand you, but that's cool. I get what you're saying. But like someone else brought up, I'm not concerned with the peak #s, I'm more concerned with the difference and 55 whp is impressive.

People are not making a fair comparison to the IX. So far X tuning is just bolt-ons and boost control. We all know that IX makes the great numbers it does after being flashed. I fairer comparison would be an untuned IX with just bolt-ons. You will not see a IX exceed 300 whp on the stock turbo, stock cams and stock ECU tune.

^Exactly, with only an intake/exhaust/MBC + TUNE the X will likely top 350awhp.

sorry alittle off topic but,

In your opinion ~cuz youve been tuning the X. How much stronger is the X turbo vs the IX turbo?

It was already covered, the X turbo is not as "strong" as the IX turbo. It is smaller, and will max out well before the IX one will.
