If you want amenities, buy a BMW. The IX/VIII interior is designed for what you do in an Evo Ix/VIII, drive the car, hard.

$100 over invoice eh? well if that is the case is it safe to say the price will go up then? mitsu didn't release the car to make $100 on each car ... or it could just be me. i wonder what will happen when the MR comes out.

OFF TOPIC:

I'm not sure why everyone is so worried about value. No matter what car you have and no matter how good of deal you got on it if you bought the thing new you take a serious hit the minute you drive off the lot. So... depending how bad you got raped ... hard or soft .... you still get raped. Its the price you pay for buying new.

People that smartly purchased used and paid a fair price need not worry. The resale value of all EVOs are holding strong. Hell even DSMs resale value is solid and they were unreliable time bombs.

You will see some cars sell for dirt cheap because the owner either has cash or needs a quick sale. You will see some car list high because some moron purchased new or paid to much and is currently upside down. But over all you if you made a "good buy" you should be able to drive an EVO for no more than $2k depreciation per year and thats a fricken great deal for a proven platform. The 10 won't affect the value of any previous EVO.

Mitsubishi definitely makes over $100 dollars, even if someone buys a car for $100 over invoice. The dealers always get rebates/deals from Mitsubishi themselves, pushing the price of the car below invoice for the dealer. Mitsubishi's probably doing pretty decent. The more cars they sell, the more money in pocket.

3. Will my huge big mac eating *** be more comfortable in the EVO10 interior?
4. The closest thing to a timed event my evo will ever see is a 3 gear drag race from a toll booth. Do you think the EVO 10 interior is better for my 100 mile commute to work.

You see....whether you (or the magazines) think the interior is better depends on what you use the car for and how familiar you are with it. Some magazine geek that is unfamiliar with either car may have a hard time dialing in the local country station but after a week of ownership that would change.

If you are a poser and only drive the car hard in a straight line or have never been to a road course then you have no idea why track ***** like me prefer the 9 interior over the 10. If you are one of the guys claiming one interior is "CHEAPER LOOKING" then I don't even want to hear your opinion because you probably purchased the wrong car. This is an EVO. It was ment to be driven to the limits and what the true enthusiasts prefer is a car that provides them better feedback and control at the limit.

I'm not EVO10 hating. I'm sure its going to break many records. But arguing about pretty lights and sticky knobs is retarded.
I see your point here. I've never even thought about the interior of my car until I saw the X. I didnt buy my VIII for the interior, I bought it because it was fast, handled great, and drove with a lot of character. I didnt even notice all the noise my car made until I bought a new car for my wife. The car was just so quiet and smooth. It made me realize, "Hey, I want quiet and smooth... and fast, and great handling..". Then along came the X, and now I can go to a track or auto-x day, get all the performance and handling, and at the same time drive to work without having my coffee spill over every bump and need to have the radio up to 20 just to hear it.

In all honesty (and maturity), I don't think you are being quite fair on your VIII though. I just bought an MR2 Turbo about 2 months ago and it's noisy as hell. There are so many squeaks and knocks when I drive around town that if I decided not to fix them, I'd be forced to turn the radio up. And the car is GREAT condition, but it is quite a few years older than my VIII. My point is, the X will eventually get noisy as well. Weather stripping dries up and starts to crack, plastic starts to warp from constant hot/cold cycles, etc.. all of this happens over time. So to assume that you won't have a squeeky interior a few years down the road in your X is being unrealistic IMO.
