I'v read the poster's Dynoflash thread. In a rebuttal, Al mentioned that his suspension fell off the car:

Ironically right after I finished tuning it when he was on his test drive the front suspension dropped off the car when he drove over a bump - this is not a daily occurence - apparently all the strut top nuts were left off. Thank god no one was killed.
This speaks volumes about the car's general condition.

I've had 2 Evos. Both were/are as tight as a drum - zero squeaks, rattles, etc. Both cars had/have stock suspensions. As far as noise from the differentials, the gearbox, etc - I love it! It always serves to remind me that I'm driving a street-legal racecar. I adore the car's undiluted mechanical nature and its pilot-centered perspective. This said, I can easily see how it wouldn't necessarily appeal to everyone.

40k comfy? i don't think so. granted the interior is very nice 'looking' but very cheap at the same time. the visors must have cost less then $5. cheap cheap

And the car is GREAT condition, but it is quite a few years older than my VIII. My point is, the X will eventually get noisy as well. Weather stripping dries up and starts to crack, plastic starts to warp from constant hot/cold cycles, etc.. all of this happens over time. So to assume that you won't have a squeeky interior a few years down the road in your X is being unrealistic IMO.

You do have a point here. I am hoping that the overall build quality of the interior is better then the previous build. I have already found that the exact same seatbelt rattle exists, and the same fix works for it. I am encouraged to believe the the plastic on glass vibration wont occur anymore tho, since the A pillars are completely different, and have those heavy air bags. In them. It will make it exciting if you mount gauges there hehe. The seats dont have that crappy plastic on the back, which is a blessing. That stuff will always eventually crack, then make noise. I also checked out the new glove compartment, and it wont be suffering the plastic on plastic rub noise anymore either. Their is an actual gap there now.

Only time will tell though.

Yeah, no kidding about the visors. Man, they are only second to the stock shift boot for "Worst item in the interior for the X".

I was talking with the dealer about the interior quality, or lack there of, but he was trying to compare it to a BMW.

hell maybe he was comparing it to a '70's model
