Vortex Generator?
From what I read, the new 10's have something underneath the rear bumper (i forget what its called... some type of air difuser) that makes the vortex generator obsolete. That is why the new models won't be coming with them. Like I said, this was on one of the reports I read.
What i do know is that previous data on divergent slopes give a rule of thumb of 7.5 degrees of slope in order to maintain boundary layer adehsion. If you place vortex generators in the divergent path, you can increase that slope to almost 13 degrees. Even with this, the flow is not re-attaching to the back window. It is possible that reattachment occurs on the wing itself. But again, i will need wind tunnel data to do any sort of educated specualtion.
Also, given the new angles and dimensions of the X, the vortex generators would also need to be redesigned, i.e. the hieght of the VGs woudl need to be altered to be optimized at a given velocity. This i can do very easily if given the exact dimensions of the flow path from the front of the X to the end of the roofline and a given desired velocity to optimize to.
