one sad evo X fact
there you go buddy, and there are many other posts on the new RA v the new X

and the statements about the WRX are exactly my point....... there are so damn many wrx's that look so close to STI's, it makes it harder to tell the difference... and when there are so many many, it become a less appealing car.... i for one love it when people give me a thumbs up, or break their neck to figure out what it is.... but now with a ralliart that looks so similar, there will be roughly twice the amount of "evo's" out there (in the eyes of untrained people)....those in the know will tell the difference, but most will see the hood of the ralliart and automatically assume its an evo, or worse, see an evo and think its a ralliart
at quick glance, the regular lancer even has the evo look..... i just feel that its not gonna be such a unique looking car anymore... its blended into society, and thats a sad sad fact

I cant afford the X but the new ralli art I could. I wish it had the brembos and all of that but I am still interested. If they are awd not fwd I will for sure take a serious look at them. I agree it takes away from the X but mitsu doesnt care they just wanna compete in the wrx market
This is exactly what I've been saying since the new broke!
I wanted my Evo to be unique, now some RA can come in spend a little bit and be right there with me
Good for Mitsu and sales, bad for Evo owners.

I assume you mean "in a straight line." The same has been true for the WRX in the last few years, but I don't think it's a big deal. To get a WRX to truly hang with an STI in all aspects, not just straight line performance, makes the cost more than just buying the STI. I expect the same will be true for the RA. The two models are targeting a different audience.
Exactly. It doesnt make the EVO any less desireable to me. It can actually be a good thing if you think that the increased size of the market will lead to more aftermarket producers, and maybe cheaper products...or maybe not
