I hope this is not true. The last thing anyone needs is a mark-up...and no MR's for a long time.

So you will buy the overpriced MR then? No doubt with the prices of a fully loaded GSR you will be paying close to 50k for that. You people must be crazy to spend that on a freakin' evo.

At least it has features that make it worth it and move it up-market compared to the STI.

Besides, where are you getting $50k? Your mind? I think you will be surprised to find that when pricing on the MR comes out, it will be highly competitive to the STI, especially for the features the MR will have over it. (SST, Recaro seats, AYC, ASC, standard Nav, better suspension, better weight distribution, better brakes, etc. etc.)

Take a look at the prices now. 40k for a almost fully loaded GSR. I said 'close' to 50k I think you will be the one surprised when the MR comes out.

Was anyone expecting the GSR to be so high? No.

I've heard dealers claim this every single year they've been delivered. Yeah, there won't be any more '08 Evo X's because by then, the '09's will be rolling off the boats. It's a scare tactic. And your really good source is probably your friend at the $stealership repeating lies made up by the sales manager to spread false shortage information, so they can jack up the price...sorta like when the oil companies tell us they are running out of oil, but post $40B profits in one year...

You said standing launches in launch mode can overheat. When it over heats the car run slower. You're saying it the nature of the design . Dont you think it a flaw in the design?
The simple answer is, they know this country is full of people who buy rally cars and drag race them...then try to warranty them when they break...

I feel like i am in a la-la land, lets ALL who are posting trash come back down to reality on the planet called the Earth,

50K for an MR? Did you check your body temperature lately? The only time this would happen and only for short periods of time, is if there are hick-ups in supply of the vehicle and some desperado who wants instant gratification, combined with a greedy Mitsu dealer, get together and make a deal on the only EVO thats available in the area at that time.

When the BS settles, by summer time, GSRs and MRs will be going at most at MSRP (they actually are on west-coast, South Coast Mitsu in CA i belive is selling them at few hundred over invoice), even on the east coast, where most dealers merely have a handful of these cars at any given point, and try to BS you that there are none around.

PERIOD.

Peace to all on Earth and those coming to join us
