just like the ABS some pro dont like it . But still a help in certain situations. This apply for the AYC too.
But the main thing is wich is good for most of us . For the avarage or a good driver will have a big benefit from it. They will be faster with it. Now of course the pro driver will be faster no matter what. Just make sure you dont want to start pro VIII - IX driver hunt with the X..

I didnt understand that last comment.....but thank you for making it easy enough to understand...very smart people here and good people too....

Another thing came up when i was read an old but very intersting thread....the guy clamied that with "a swaped ECU, Exhaust, and intercooler and make 400whp on PUMP" true? on Evo IX but does that applie to all Evo's?

Not to start a fight but if the statement above is true and read this thread ( http://forums.nicoclub.com/zerothread/275899 ) also going back to the Evo 1 - Evo IV i think i can actually say an Evo VS a Skyline would be a tight match on technicality and strategy....as well as power to weight ratio....i would love for someone to respone to this idea....not respone with "oh its out if its league and its a legend" because i know its a legend but honestly...the Skyline might have had some disadvantge....Early Evo's weighted as much as a civic back then and to top it off the first Evo made about 255awhp......just a thought

What answer are you looking for here ? Evo VIII and IX's can be made to do wonderful things with the right tuning and very few mods, they can also be screwed up by bad tuning and bad mods. Dyno's vary greatly and are best used to compare the before and afters of mods on the same car.

Right now the X is so new that there are still a bunch of questions about maxmimum HP, HP on the stock turbo, durability.... I would say that watching the forums you will find that there is alot of excitement about the potential for the new engine. Some tuners have shown some great gains with minor bolt-ons. I think several of them are at about 80 plus HP already. With turbo cars it really is about finding a quality experienced tuner that can guide you to the car you desire. Its not always about the BFT's and the Dyno queens.... But the attage still applies: Speed cost money..... Personally I think that buying either a IX or X is too close too call. But finding a IX that someone hasnt modded or had a 'learning experience on" may actually cost you more at the end of the day than buying the X.

Good Luck!

Deployed properly, I see these systems becoming the norm for track and likewise comsumer vehicles. As far as 'pro' drivers, I'd suspect they would be the most resistant to change in the first place and for good reason as it would certainly be difficult to adjust to fill this new enevlope. Drivers who for years have honed their skill bringing their cars to the absolute limit without these systems would certainly have a tough time again working out the 'feel' for the absolute limit. I could even imagine rally drivers with skill ten fold beyond your average sports car enthusiast never even getting close to that limit, so ingrained are they with in an almost instinctive sense of the cars weight and balance around the corners and shooting for the apex with the same lines time and again.

For perhaps the less 'experienced' driver, however, I could just as easily imagine they almost unintentionally reaching those limits (and probably going beyond :-) ) Albeit, the less experienced driver would be less likely to be able to maintain the consitent 'edge of the envelope' that a pro might, I honestly feel they'll get there quicker.

I guess I liken the EVO X to an F-22 in my mind (although it's certainly not a perfect analogy) and the F-22 having thrust vectoring as an added oportunity to turn a fight to one's advantage. Absolutely, any pilot worth his jumpsuit could do some serious dogfighting without it, but it 'does' help out if you've got the option, whether you are old hat or new.

Just my couple cents. Bring on the MR's already......!
actually i believe that the experieced/pro drivers could easily adapt to these new systems since these divers could feel the car as a whole and knows the limits of that car within a few laps of driving a car. well with s-ayc it would take a little getting used to for amature drivers to get the most out of a car but for normal drivers this would benefit them without even knowing it.

That's a great point about the weight distribution. Would love to see a comparo of a stock GSR 9 against a stock GSR 10! I'm sure it will happen soon on this forum.
