I'M now thinking this rumor (lie) started at dealerships to sell their GSRs. the reason the rumors are probably consistent is because they all read the same chapter in the book of bull****. chapter 1 think is called "lie lie lie to sell sell sell"...but i think this one was from chapter 2. i think that one is called "lie about what you don't have in order to sell what you do have...plus don't forget chapter 1..."

 

+1. Also don't forget blaming whatever scary new technology is coming on whatever you don't have, so you can sell more of what you have.

The dealerships that are saying this are mostly East coast dealerships and east coast Reps
Why would they lie so they can sell more GSR, They don’t even have any to sell. Some tuners gave up and are having them shipped from the west coast. The rest of the Country Is on their 4th and 5th, Even here in the Midwest, in
State of Minnesota, we are on our 3rd shipment already. 1/2 the people who live in this Country don’t even know where Minnesota is.

 

yep looks like there is a miss handling in the east cost vs west. I never saw anything like this before.

 

No evo on the East coast in the US? Is that correct? Weird because here on East cost Canada we have it.

 

For more info on the MR, you can check the thread "Evo X finally out in Vancouver, Canda". It seems oficial that the MR is not coming due to TC-SST problems...

Until we see an official press release from Mitsubishi to that effect, everyone really needs to stop claiming that the sky is falling.

Not to mention that Canada is different than the US. If they decide to cancel the MR in Canada for some reason, that doesn't mean it isn't coming to the US.

But like I said, until it comes from the mouths of MMNA themselves in the form of a written press release that the MR has been canceled or significantly delayed, I'm not buying any of this "it's not coming, the SST sucks ****" crap.

^Yes, we don't want all threads that talk about these "claims" to be locked, because they can't be verified, due to unavailable info. Those types of comments just make people freak out, me included.

Good news!

I went to my dealer this afternoon to find out about the MR story since I ordered one a month ago... First of all, he didn't heard anything about a delay for the MR. We checked the computer together and no official statement from Mitsubishi. We also checked the order status and as of today, my MR is supposed to be in Vancouver awaiting to clear customs... As soon as it does, I should get a VIN and the car is expected to leave Vancouver on the 22nd of february for an arrival in Montreal on the 4th of March. Expected delivery to dealer, considering the usual delays, is supposed to be on the 15th of march!

So, either 2 things...
One, my dealer is really out of it and doesn't know a thing about what's going on!

Two, the MR thing is just rumors and the will get there as planned

I sure hope the second option is the right one. I will keep you up to date!

Can't wait to see that phantom black MR!
