No, the transmission definately doesnt bother me as bad anymore. The shifting is softening up, and the gearing is growing on me. No 6th gear 
Im used to the Rx-8 that shifts like butter even at max rpm (which is WAY up there). The Rx-8 also has a 6th gear. The gearbox is SO versitile in the Rx-8.
