I've sat back for over a year while the debate went on but when you see the old next to the new its a done deal. The X is already showing its no slouch in performance, its looks way better, i think there will be a lot of used evos for sale. BTW the sti looks so bad and is second to the evo in all the mags, so make more room on here for some scooby slobs

i like the X dont get me wrong but i still think the 7-9's look like a car pumped with steroids. needless to say if im keeping mine.

I agree it looks much better than the new STi, but $40k is hard to stomach. I also thinks it looks a little better than the old version.

 

That's easy, don't spend $40k on it then ...

 

All the dealers have them priced around $40. I just cant get over the hideous back end of the X, the front is amazing though.

I just can't get over the catfish front end, but I'll probably get one in a year or so. Hopefully by then I can afford to keep my 9 also.

 

I think the X is a good looking car, but I still like the 7-9 better and im definetly keeping my 9.

Its completely a matter of personal taste. I personally think the IX has more character - you won't get it confused with a base lancer. The X is more aggressive, but not as differentiable from its brethren. Its also a very chunky, which doesnt look bad, but doesnt seem as rally-esque as the IX which looks more like a car that was built with ultimate function in mind. I'm more of a function over form kind of guy, which probably explains my preference.

 

Just a matter of opinions

I also think the 8/9 looks a lot better, but if i really care on the looks of the car...i would just go and get a BMW 335
