If im going to spend that kind of money on a new car im not going to have a plastic wing. Its tacky as hell IMO! Either way i do like the Evo X. Sorry for the rant lol

a lot of good cars have non cf wings, the sti, a gt-r, supra, evo 7 and <, maybe even a porche gt3.

judging a car based on the wing is pretty nit-picky

First thing I'd do if I got a evo X is take the spoiler off. Looks a lot better like that.

Theres a reason the Carbon Fiber wings went away. Read the TSB reports. I also have one of the warrantied wings in my garage if you want it for your WW purchase Hard to get rid of those damn thing, people dont even want to pay $100 for them, and they cost $1200 new.

Plastic isn't a four letter word, and it's not always a "low quality" material either. For some applications it's the perfect material.

I'll accept complaints when they start making pistons and turbo housings out of plastic.

Like I've already said .. that's just another reason why I chose to get the evo with the smaller wing .. you can get two sizes with the X.

FYI carbon fiber is still plastic... but the idea that CF is going away as a car building material is preposterous. It will no doubt overtake every other plastic in high end products in the very near future. It has done so already in bicycles and airplanes!

You really need to look stuff up before you post crap like that. Carbon fiber, AS USED FOR PARTS IN A CAR, like a wing, is a composite of carbon fiber reinforced PLASTIC. It is very similar to fiberglass except for a different fiber.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carbon_...forced_plastic

Please don't retort by saying you were referring to only the fiber, because you weren't.
